About this position:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day shift 

The Farwest Steel Operations Department is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable individual to join their team as Warehouse Supervisor. In this role, you will lead daily warehouse operations, supervise personnel, manage workflows, and ensure production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to continuous improvement and team development.

Key responsibilities:
  • Champion a culture of safety by promoting awareness and ensuring proper investigation and reporting of incidents.
  • Lead warehouse staffing functions, including hiring, onboarding, training, safety orientation, and performance management.
  • Ensure operational compliance with work standards, attendance expectations, quality metrics, and on-time delivery (OTD) goals.
  • Monitor team performance through KPIs such as Return on Assets (ROA) and equipment scorecards.
  • Adjust staffing levels and resources to meet dynamic production requirements.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance in alignment with Farwest Steel standards.
  • Plan and manage workflows to consistently meet production, quality, and delivery benchmarks.
  • Promote Farwest’s core values and company culture across all shifts and team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) as defined by Farwest.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, K2 systems, and yard mules.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and lift throughout the workday in a warehouse environment.
